The official home of the Macarena song and viral dance that changed the media landscape forever!

The Macarena Turns 25

The Macarena officially turns 25 this year and, as you know we are, others are getting in on the fun. The original duo that wrote the lyrics to the Macarena will be creating their very own AirBnb where anyone can book in groups of four. The duo who we’ve spoken about before, Antonio Romero Monge and Rafael Ruiz Perdigones, will be inviting a lucky group of four to the very beautiful and still stunning Andalusian villa that inspired the song.

Where Is Andalusia?

Andalusia is a large region located in South Spain. With an area of over 33,000 miles the region is large and expansive. It stretches from roughly the center of Spain to the very Southern Tip. While there, consider checking out the amazing medievil castle of Alcázar of Segovia, otherwise known as the “Segovia Fortress” in Seville, the capital city.

Additionally, you may want to see the stunning Córdoba’s Mezquita Mosque-Cathedral in Córdoba. The large 8th century Cathedral was built in 785 CE the capital of the then Muslim empire known as Al-Andalus. Of course, this is all assuming you’re the first to one to book. If you’re not, don’t fret, flights from the U.S. are actually fairly cheap.

What You Get If You Book

In addition to the beautiful villa and all expense paid two nights in the beautiful city, you also get to learn to sing and dance the even more iconic Macarena taught by the duo themselves!

Additionally, you’ll also be invited to attend a cookery class where you can learn to cook authentic Spanish cuisine.

How To Enter?

So here’s the thing..it’s not really a giveaway. Perhaps indicative of the fact it’s been 25 years since the song became a hit, the duo are actually just creating an AirBnB that people can book.

Let’s be honest, it’s been a long year for all of us in the times of Covid…couldn’t you use a trip to a romantic overseas villa?
